Judge Blocks Trump’s Birthright Order
President Donald Trump’s executive order to terminate birthright citizenship has been stopped by a second federal court who said that the policy is probably unconstitutional. A federal court in Seattle has already temporarily stopped Trump’s order, which is scheduled to go into force in two weeks. On the first day of his second term, Trump signed an order in which he directed federal agencies to cease providing citizenship paperwork and recognizing the U.S. citizenship of children born to foreigners who were in the country illegally or on temporary visas.
