The new unlawful re-entry statute in Iowa is still provisional, pending a federal judge&#8217;s interim block. The state is requesting that an appeals court reverse the ruling so that local law enforcement can carry out the statute.According to Iowa&#8217;s immigration legislation, it is illegal for someone who has already been denied admission into the US or deported to remain in the state.
