Iowa’s immigrant community is speaking out against legislation that they say will have consequences if passed. Immigrants’ rights advocates say much of the legislation introduced this session is directly attacking the immigrant community. One of the bills would make in-state tuition available only for citizens. Iowa’s business community has voiced strong opposition to a bill that would mandate the use of E-Verify.
