In order to protect migrant farmers, hotel employees, and other leisure industry workers who have been deported, President Donald Trump stated that he intends to modify his administration’s harsh crackdown on illegal immigration. In a June 12 Truth Social post, Trump pledged the reforms, admitting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement police have made more arrests than merely migrants convicted of violent crimes, who Trump administration have claimed are the main targets of raids and deportations. Trump stated that a “common sense” approach will be used in his executive order to solve the matter.
