What is the Visa Bulletin?
The Visa Bulletin is published monthly and contains information on the types of visas available, the requirements for those visas, and the processing times for those visas.
If USCIS determines there are more immigrant visas available for a fiscal year, we will state on this page that you may use the filing dates from the Dates for Filing chart.
Otherwise, if you are not using The Final Action Dates chart provides an estimate of when you may file your adjustment of status application.
We will indicate on this page that you must use the appropriate filing date.
If the cutoff date on the Final Action Dates chart is later than the date on the Dates for Filing chart, then applicants in immigrant visa categories that are “current” may file during that month.
The Visa Bulletin is an important resource for anyone who wants to know what type of visa they need and how long they will have to wait to receive that visa.
