AFGHANIS DELAYED AFTER 2 YEARS
Approximately there are 19,000 asylum applications from Afghan nationals who arrived as part of Operation Allies Welcome. Thousands are still waiting for an interview or decision. To help expedite the process, there was a proposal in 2022 called Afghan Adjustment Act as a way to provide expanded visa access to Afghan refugees. It was blocked by Sens. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Grassley cited concerns about the vetting process. Although the bill was reintroduced in July, it remains stalled. If your case is delayed, call Ting Law Group 832-838-9797.
Due to President Trump’s Last In First out policy, the backlog of applicants is over 667,000, asylum seekers have waited many years for their interviews. Ting Law Group has filed mandamus lawsuit to get your case completed faster. The general experience has been receiving the interview within 2-3 months after filing the lawsuit.
