"La lucha no ha cesado": la ley de inmigración de Iowa bloqueada por ahora, los manifestantes denuncian el recurso
An Iowa law that was meant to go into effect on Monday is currently on hold as it makes its way through the court system. Now, protesters are blasting Attorney General Brenna Bird’s appeal of the court’s injunction. The law seeks to make illegal re-entry into the U.S. a state crime and would let local law enforcement press charges against people who had deportation orders or who had been blocked from coming into the U.S. in the past. A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction, blocking the law from taking effect, but Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird is appealing that decision.
