Federal Judge Overturns Biden’s Immigration Policy Protecting Undocumented Spouses of US Citizens from Deportation

Biden's immigration policy protecting certain undocumented spouses of US citizens from deportation is overturned by a federal judge

The Biden administration’s “parole in place” program, which granted legal status to some undocumented people who are married to US citizens, was overturned by a federal judge on Thursday.

The rule, which was implemented earlier this year during President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, was previously placed on administrative hold by US District Judge J. Campbell Barker while the judge reviewed the complaint filed by Texas and 15 other states.

As they applied for citizenship, the policy let certain undocumented wives of US citizens to work lawfully in the nation and protected them from deportation.
