Operation Guardian in Oklahoma

Gov. Kevin Stitt unveiled his plan called “Operation Guardian” to deport undocumented immigrants from Oklahoma’s correctional facilities. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections houses 526 undocumented immigrants in Oklahoma “jails” which cost Oklahoma taxpayers about $36,000 per day, according to the Governor’s Office. This appears to be unnecessary since the county could cooperate with ICE anyway. Another scenario where government does not need to create more laws.
