Working while studying
As an international student, you can work up to 20 hours per week. To do this, you must first contact your International Student Advisor, known as a DSO (Designated School Official). It is important that you follow all the steps in a timely manner.
Applying for a work permit
You will need a recommendation from your DSO to work. Once you obtain it, you must apply for Form I-765 within 30 days. This form is essential to obtain a work permit.
